In an unconventional move, talent scouts are targeting blogs and chat rooms to find the right staff. The scouts are hoping to attract hard-to-find candidates who aren’t actively job searching.
Companies are becoming more resourceful and are investigating every available avenue to gain a competitive edge, says Liam Ovenden, RPO Group managing director. “With the country’s skills shortage and an increased need to hire qualified employees, we need to ensure that the widest possible net is cast for each role,” he says.
“Recruitment is not only critical to business success, it is incredibly expensive. So companies are realising it pays to partner with a specialist to do it better and cheaper,” says Ovenden.
