Australian job prospects are the best available in the current global economy, or at least that’s what more than 50 percent of Aussies say. A recent LinkMe survey found that Australians believe the next greatest job prospects are in China, with 26.7 percent, and India, with 13.2 percent.
More surprisingly, even when offered the opportunity to work in the “city of their dreams”, only 51.8 percent of survey respondents said they would leave Australia to “see what happens”. And 17.1 percent would not leave at all.
“There is certainly have a high degree of confidence in the employment prospects of this country,” says Campbell Sallabank, CEO of LinkMe. “With unemployment at such a low level, skills shortages in almost every sector and the ever-burgeoning China on our doorstep, the workforce has every confidence that the labour market will continue to flow in their favour for some time yet.”
