Though social media marketing has become key for SMBs, business owners must not forget the importance of traditional advertising.

FindMedia.com.au, a media buying search website, is helping small businesses streamline their approach to advertising.

“Many business owners set up their businesses and assume people will come. They wait for people to contact them with different advertising or promotional opportunities, then based on the perceived benefit they then decide on the spot if they would go ahead with them or not,” says Lenny Manor, founder of FindMedia.

Manor says this ‘stab in the dark’ approach is letting businesses down.

FindMedia.com.au works by allowing businesses to search for experts in the advertising and marketing industries, including advertising, public relations, SEO, social media, promotions, and media publications.

Searches can be filtered according to budget and state location, as well as by advertising medium.

To create a service that business owners could feel comfortable with, Manor researched the main methods SMBs use to find experts and combined them into one platform.

With Google and word of mouth referrals from friends and business associates commonly used, Manor implemented a star rating and review system.

“It gives business owners all these elements, saving them a lot of the legwork that is usually involved,” he says.
