The Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar franchise has expanded to South Australia, with three stores now open in the Adelaide region.
The franchise, which has a strong presence along the Eastern seaboard, said it responded to consumer demand in its decision to expand to South Australia.
The three new stores – in Unley, Norwood and Brighton – are part of wider growth plans for FY12 which will see Crust open a further five stores in the state by this time next year.
This will take the total number of stores across Australia to more than 95, which the franchise said brings it closer it’s objective of becoming the country’s leading gourmet pizza offering.
Crust founders Costa Anastasiadis and Michael Logos said the franchise occupies a unique position, and there was a gap in the South Australian market for healthier, gourmet takeaway pizza options.
“The expansion into South Australia has been a natural next step. Our consumers have repeatedly called for us to open in Adelaide, and we’ve listened. We know that this launch into South Australia will be successful because of the commitment of our consumers to our brand, as well as the fact that the region is ready for fresh, healthy takeaway options,” Anastasiadis said.
According to Logos and Anastasiadis the stores in Unley, Norwood and Brighton have already established themselves quickly and firmly into their local communities, with the support of the Crust Head Office in Melbourne.
Crust aims to have more than 100 stores nationwide by the end of 2011.
