Sam has also been responsible for the development and vision of the coreDNA platform, bwired’s proprietary technology that enables rapid, cost effective deployment and customisation to clients needs. CoreDNA was developed by Sam and his team around four pillars: Research (what we learn from the site), Image (content, branding and info), Sales (sales and payment processing) and Efficiency (operational efficiency). coreDNA protects businesses IT investment and mitigates risk. bwired celebrates its 10th birthday this year – Sam’s passion for technology and the web along with his entrepreneurial personality has paved the way for the company’s success over the last decade. Today bwired has over 300 clients, 10 million page views per month, over 50 e-commerce sites and $10 million in transactions on e-commerce sites.
Sam is a regular blogger and has written a number of whitepapers, he is an active member of a number of industry associations, and often present at industry events. Sam recently presented on topical digital issues at events such as the Victorian Tourism Conference, the National Franchise Convention and The Internet Show.
Sam began his career in corporate Australia, spending 11 years with ANZ in a number of technology roles in Australia and overseas. He was involved in numerous strategic initiatives as an executive of the bank. He holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics).
