Global online accounting system provider Xero has today announced that it has chosen Akamai as the online technology provider for the New Zealand based company.
Akamai is one of the leaders is powering video, dynamic transactions and enterprise applications online, and the partnership will boost the average speed of Xero’s application by 180%.
Akamai has a network of 65,000 servers in over 71 countries around the world, enabling companies and organisations to enable companies to store content on more locally situated servers for their users.
This will result in an improved online efficiency of 235 per cent in New Zealand, as well as 241 per cent in Australia and 184 per cent in the US.
Country manager of Akamai ANZ Ian Teague was excited about the new partnership.
