Australia’s largest men’s gifts and collectables retailer Guy Stuff have found great success though online selling site eBay.
While many businesses often start with an eBay store and later build their own online selling site once the business is established and successful, Guy Stuff have been selling through eBay for ten years. According to Darren Pead, director of Guy Stuff, eBay gives him the opportunity to access millions of potential customers, at a fraction of the cost of building and advertising his own shopping site.
As a traditional ‘clicks and mortar’ business, Guy Staff enjoys the simplicity of the eBay store, and Pead finds it is much easier to manage than having their own website.
However, Pead believes it is important for all online retailers to remember to constantly monitor the site, regardless of the platform they are selling from.
“Your eBay store’s success depends on your feedback and how you look after your customers.”
