PC users are flocking to the Mac in droves amid concerns about their online security as attacks on computers become more widespread.
Feedback from Next Byte customers has pointed to a resurgence in the Mac are they are viewed as safer than a PC when it comes to virus protection.
“Every time there is another PC virus released onto the net, there is a wave of frustrated PC users wanting to switch from PC to Mac,” said Next Byte general manager of retail Darren Gaunt.
“Consumers are no longer willing to risk their personal and business data to potentially devastating virus attacks, particularly when we store so much data on our computers.”
According to Gaunt the demand is high with close to 50 percent of their customers wanting to switch to a Mac.
