Government may ban music festivals amid swine flu fear

The Government is in talks to ban music events for the months of September and October in order to control swine flu outbreaks, reports music and media website www.music.com.au

According to the reports, Federal and state government health officials have met to discuss the spread of swine flu across the country, looking for ways to control the outbreaks, focusing their attention on the already suffering live music industry.

Music.com.au says: “The government intends to act swiftly to not allow events which have people packed into public places, dancing, sweating and potentially spreading disease which translates to stopping live music as well as dance parties and raves.”
