This month, women across Australia will be frocking up as part of the month-long Frocktober festivities, designed to raise awareness and money for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF).
As official sponsors of the Frocktober festivities, the girls at feminine hygiene subscription service Impromptu (www.impromptu.com.au) will be putting on their finest every day during Frocktober and joining in the celebrations, helping to raise awareness for ovarian cancer research.
Impromptu founder and owner, Paula Rodgers designed the feminine health and hygiene service in a bid to make modern day women’s life just a little bit easier, but has been amazed at the lack of awareness of important female health issues such as ovarian cancer.
“I am passionate about women’s issues and this one is very important. According to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF), one woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer in Australia. There is currently no screening test in Australia for ovarian cancer, so Frocktober is supporting research into a suitable early detection test,” she said.
