According to the latest smartphone sales data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, the Android OS has shown continued market share losses for the three months ending July 2015.
In Australia the Android share has fallen by 10.5 pts compared with a 7.9 pt increase for iOS. Share losses have also been seen across Europe’s largest five markets, while Android’s share has remained positive in the US.
Samsung remained the biggest selling brand with a share of 38% but whilst volume sales were up on the same period a year ago, share declined by -2.6% pts. Samsung continues to hold the largest share within the Android market having increased to 67.7 per cent.
Nonetheless, while Samsung has 4 of the top 10 selling models in the market today, the iPhone 6 continues to hold the number 1 position.
