Mortgage Choice buys HelpMeChoose.com.au home loan website

Mortgage Choice has purchased home loan website HelpMeChoose.com.au, the mortgage broker’s second acquisition in a year after buying home loan aggregator LoanKit 11 months ago.

mortgage choice helpmechooseHelpMeChoose.com.au sells home loan leads to mortgage brokers and is one of the top websites in the category in Australia. HelpMeChoose generates tens of thousands of home loan leads annually from potential home loan customers, which are distributed to over 60 professional mortgage broking firms including Mortgage Choice, as well as a number of lenders. It also receives life and health insurance leads via two recently launched portals.

Mortgage Choice CEO Michael Russell said HelpMeChoose will continue to operate independently, but the company sees significant growth in online home loan leads.

“The purchase marks an exciting strategic investment for the company given that over 70 percent of our home loan leads are currently sourced online.”

“This proportion will only rise further as the internet continues to strengthen as the preferred information source for potential and existing home loan customers.

“HelpMeChoose.com.au will continue to operate as a standalone business, maintaining the strong relationships it enjoys with its existing clients while continuing to add new clients.

HelpMeChoose.com.au founder Dr Adir Shiffman said after growing more than 100 percent per year, the company needed the funding for expansion that Mortgage Choice offered as a business partner.

“Mortgage Choice was the standout for their understanding of the space and their ability to support us, while taking a hands-off approach to operations.” he said.

Mr Russell said buying HelpMeChoose will ensure Mortgage Choice brokers and franchisees have access to a strong pool of potential home loan customers moving forward.

“Mortgage Choice’s overriding strategy is to continue to increase our home loan market share. HelpMeChoose.com.au is a clear market leader in its space, and gives us security around our access to high quality online leads.” he said.
