Rumours have been swirling around on the internet for months now, but the day is finally here – Apple has unveiled two new iPhones.
The iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5s were revealed by CEO Tim Cook in California today, but after all the leaked pictures, there were few surprises.
Thanks to its plastic casing, the 5c is a slightly cheaper model, but starting at $739 outright, it’s not quite the ‘budget’ phone various tech sites had been waiting for. Using the same processor as the iPhone 5, it comes in either 16GB or 32GB and users can choose from one of five different colours – pink, green, blue, yellow and white.
The 5s, on the other hand, is Apple’s new premium iPhone. The big new feature is the Touch ID, a fingerprint identity scanner built into the home button that lets users unlock their phone, and can also be used to authenticate decisions and purchases within apps.
The new phone also has a new processor and camera, and comes cased in black, silver, or gold aluminium.
