“AI can be creatively applied in a broad spectrum of industries and can enhance performance, enable automation, and facilitate intelligent decision-making. In the automotive industry, electric vehicle development continues world-wide and AI applications are emerging to enhance system performance.  For example, engineers develop AI algorithms to virtually estimate how much charge is left in the vehicle’s battery.

“In the healthcare space, engineers use AI to automatically detect and diagnose epileptic seizures in video data of patients with epilepsy. And the agriculture industry is leveraging AI to analyse onboard camera and sensor data for navigation and farm management decisions in a smart electric tractor.”

“AI offers a wide range of creative possibilities for business owners across Australia. From automated video editing to AI-generated art, these tools can be used to cut costs while maintaining quality but also inspire and enhance creative processes for businesses alike.

  1. AI-Generated Art: AI algorithms, such as Generative Adversarial Networks, can create stunning and unique pieces of art, including paintings and even sculptures.
  2. AI-Generated Music and Soundtracks: AI models can compose music and generate soundtracks for various media, such as business advertisements. It can cover different genres and moods, expanding possibilities for content creators.
  3. Interactive Augmented Reality (AR) Experiences: AI can enhance AR experiences by recognising objects or environments and providing relevant information or interactive elements. For instance, artoreal provides a virtual gallery experience for artists to hold exhibitions of their paintings and photographs For a large retailer company, we have created a demo video that allows users to virtually try on clothes or visualise furniture in their homes.
  4. Automated Video Editing: AI-powered tools, such as Nihilent’s Emoscape can analyse video footage and automatically edit them into compelling, engaging sequences. This can save time for content creators and produce high-quality videos for marketing or social media.

“As brilliant as AI can be, it is essential to use it responsibly and ethically. Some applications like deepfakes raise significant ethical concerns and must be used with caution. Always consider the impact and potential consequences of AI-powered creations.”

“Many people are already using ChatGPT to help with their work and life admin. Imagine having a personal assistant at your beck and call 24/7 to answer any and every question, or help you get “unstuck”.

“At work, people now have access to virtual HR admin, thought partner, researcher and even a business consultant or strategist. At home people are using it to plan meals, design travel itineraries, create personal training programs and offer suggestions for gifts. Other creative uses I have heard about are:

  • Paralegal – help me prepare documents for my divorce and custody hearing.
  • Interviewer –Ask me a series of questions and then create a 2 paragraph bio for a business style publication.
  • Entertainment – let’s play trivia.
  • Social media – take this article I have written and turn it into 10 short, punchy 140 character social media posts.
  • Humour – write me 10 jokes about meetings in the workplace.”

“AI is currently a hot topic, and understandably so considering its innumerable uses across industries, both creative and traditional. It plays a pivotal role in our digital landscape, driving transformative changes that reshape the landscape for both businesses and consumers alike. As we continue to see AI’s use-cases grow at Shopline, here are some creative ways it can be implemented.

“Showcasing products and services is a key element for every business, but can take time to collate, edit, upload, and itemise. However, with the help of a brief and brand guidelines, AI can edit and process images, bringing the vision to life, while also adding the appropriate colour/product tags and creating product descriptions.

“Personalising customer experience is another important aspect for every business. Creating personalised shopping experiences through AI-driven product recommendations, customers can discover items tailored to their preferences, making online shopping a more engaging and efficient process.

“Today, AI is becoming a necessity to unlock efficiencies and thrive in business. But that doesn’t mean it has to be boring or siloed into the usual admin or productivity buckets. Have fun with it creatively and see what else you can unlock for your business.”

“There has been lots of press recently about how AI is going to replace many jobs in the creative industry, from visual arts to script writing, however I think we are yet to see if AI will truly replace elements of the creative industry. I am loving seeing all the different ways we can apply AI, for example the recent creation of Gansta’s Paradise by Frank Sinatra or the ability to use ChatGPT to recreate conversations with loved ones who are no longer with us.

“As with most successful applications of AI, I expect we’ll see AI used to speed up or circumnavigate time-consuming or mundane tasks in the creative process and (my hope is) that we still get to benefit from human creativity for the foreseeable future.”

“We all know that AI can be used to automate repetitive low-level development tasks, eliminating data and application integration backlog. But lately, AI is becoming more creative than ever. Like an organisation’s copilot or your team’s favourite intern, AI has the capability to help start new or streamline routine processes, reduce errors and accelerate processes to keep up with the rapid pace of today’s business landscape.

SnapGPT, for instance, is the world's first generative integration solution, created to help businesses meet the tremendous pressure to do more with less. Leveraging open source and proprietary large-language models and artificial intelligence, SnapGPT allows users to integrate any applications or data sources with natural language. SnapGPT’s ease of use allows enterprises to eliminate costly IT backlogs and accelerate the development of new business processes, all in a secure environment.

“SnapLogic’s unique generative integration solution gives companies competitive advantages in innovation, creating data-driven decision-making, and seamlessly connecting diverse systems and data sources by empowering any employee to create new integrations just by using natural language. SnapGPT acts as a tireless, intelligent co-pilot, providing contextual suggestions and real-time guidance throughout the integration process, boosting confidence and providing self-service to users of all experience levels while eliminating strain on IT to assist, create, test and monitor integration builds.”

“Whilst once a distant vision, the reality is that the AI revolution is happening. And it has the ability to change everything. However, truly unlocking this opportunity will require a delicate balancing act between robot and employee.

“When Storyblok’s partner, Virtual Identity, developed a plugin for our content management system (CMS), it gave us our first taste of generative AI in action, allowing content creators to incorporate graphics generated by DALL-E onto their webpages in real time.

“In one fell swoop, Virtual Identity had removed both the tedious nature of searching image libraries and the need to buy stock photos. Creators could generate the most appropriate image they needed instantly, without even leaving our CMS.

“The benefits of this generative AI-driven approach are vast. Not only does this plug-in potentially enable a huge amount of cost- and time-saving for businesses whilst developing website content, but it also supports creativity. DALL-E is providing imagery suggestions that the creator may have never thought of including.”

“AI has emerged as a great tool to prevent fraud in the assistance of identity verification (IDV), but it is essential for modern businesses to prioritise inclusion and build identity systems that work for everyone. The 2021 Human Rights and Technology Report specifically called out to “Tread carefully around facial recognition apps”.

“Algorithms don’t always see all faces equally. Studies conducted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology have found that the algorithms have a harder time recognising people with darker skin. As a result, facial recognition can be less accurate for different ethnicities.

“At IDVerse we pioneered the use of generative AI synthetic media to train deep neural network systems with Zero Bias AI™ which protects against discrimination based on race, age and gender. Through our advancements in the field of Natural Vision Processing (NVP), we’re teaching machines to autonomously see and perceive like humans, and excel in ways that people cannot.

“Zero Bias AI™ works to overcome biases in systems, data, manual screening and language, and we are the first company to achieve 99.99% accuracy in independent lab testing. This ensures biometric and document verification technologies work effectively in our community, and allows businesses to reach more customers.”

“There are several uses of AI, they all depend on the use case. The best ones at this stage are for Asset Creation and Project Administration.

“Asset Creation: Midjourney has come a long way and the prompt flexibility allows you to specify camera, lens, fstop style manipulation – giving you the ability to create assets for anything to do with digital static ads, a level of dynamics that would otherwise cost a large sum of money to produce. The offside is that the time investment to write such prompts may be cumbersome when starting out.

“Project Administration: Monday.com as an example has, in their latest version introduced text to task assistants which allow users to build project timelines, task lists, designations a breeze. Ultimately PMO’s are able to assist in project administration to decrease overheads in the business.

“However the best stack that I believe in terms of tools at this stage for consumer led AI are as follows:

  • Chat GPT 4 (with code interpreter)
  • Mid Journey
  • Stable Diffusion
  • Runway ML
  • Descrpt

“Add integrations via Zapier or Make and you have use cases that substantially increase efficiencies in your business.”
