Tim Moylan has given the video industry a shake-up with the world’s first ‘always-on’ video production company, Shootsta. As one of this year’s top 10 Dynamic Entrepreneurs, Tim plans to expand into New Zealand, Hong Kong, USA and Europe over the next 12 months.
Shootsta is a video production company offering businesses the opportunity to produce high quality video content for a fraction of the cost through its global subscription service. Tim understands that everyone has the ability to shoot content and with the support of Shootsta’s camera kit and training, people have access to high quality branded video content within 24 hours.
Tim’s passion and vision to change the video technology industry has resulted in Shootsta operating from five global offices in Sydney, London, San Diego, Singapore and Hong Kong. Since its inception in 2015, Shootsta has partnered with a mix of brands from start-ups to multinational companies including, Coca-Cola, Amatil, Travelex, Oporto and Fuji Xerox.
Dynamic Business had a chat with Tim about being named in the top 10, his top tips and what is new and exciting about Shootsta.
How does it feel to be named one of Dynamic Business’s Top 10 Entrepreneurs?
I’m proud to be nominated and named in the Top10; it brings a good feeling knowing that what we are doing is making a difference to people.
What are the top three lessons you’ve learnt so far?
The biggest lessons are to start moving quickly and get things done. It’s also important to have a great team of advisors around you to bounce ideas off, and ensure you bring your team into the spotlight with you.
What is new and exciting about Shootsta?
Technology at the forefront of creating videos. With the ease of creating video content these days, we are making it more accessible for anyone to create great quality video by assisting them through the shooting process, and allowing them to share a polished video in 24 hours.
What are you currently up to in your business?
We are looking at technology to assist our clients in creating and learning about video, and leveraging AR and VR to make the experience fun!
