The pair of entrepreneurs behind the goCatch iPhone app have added a new feature to the program, allowing users rate drivers out of five stars.
The goCatch app, which was co-created by Andrew Campbell, allows users to see taxis in their area on a GPS map and book them via the phone. Thanks to the new addition, users can now choose a drive with a strong reputation for good customer service.
According to Campbell, the new addition is a natural enhancement for the app.
“We believe good taxi drivers should be recognised. The internet, and now smartphone apps like goCatch, allow us to make choices based on our own and other people’s experiences. It means customers will gravitate to those drivers who deliver the best service.”
Users can see drivers in their vicinity on a map, and can now click on a taxi icon to see the driver name and rating. Drivers can be selected based on how the goCatch community has rated them, and users can see whether their favourite driver is in the area.
Campbell believes the new addition to the app ensures a better experience than the luck-of-the-draw approach from the conventional system.
“With goCatch you choose your driver, tap goCatch and use the map to watch the driver track towards you.”
goCatch can be downloaded free from the iTunes app store.
