A pilot educational program series is being launched in Sydney from November 6.
The Practical Business Learning for Entrepreneurs: UTS@HUBSYDNEY program is being delivered by UTS Business School and The Hub Sydney, with funding support from the City of Sydney.
Emerging entrepreneurs, especially in the tech and creative sectors, have the opportunity to hone the skills they need to develop their ideas through a series of workshops.
The debut workshop will look at ‘lean’ business models – the first step in turning a good idea into a viable business. Subsequent workshops will look at defining and attracting customers, identifying and exploiting your competitive advantage, funding, and building a team.
Fifty places are on offer in each of five, two-hour workshops to be held between now and April.
In addition, 12 entrepreneurs will be selected for a mentorship program where they will be matched with seasoned entrepreneurs and PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants.
The workshops will be held at The Hub Sydney’s co-working space at
101 William Street, Darlinghurst. They cost $20 each and participants can sign up to one, a couple, or all five, depending where they need to develop expertise.
