Dynamic Business Magazine is giving away two double passes to the Digital Citizens event “So you Think You’re A Social Media Expert?”on Tuesday October 5th, read below to find out how.
The world of social media is full of so called “Social media experts, goddesses and gurus” on Tuesday October 5th, Digital Citizens is putting their claims to the test and inviting the audience to decide who really knows their stuff and who is all talk.
Following the successful Startups, small shops and bootstrappers: the real value in social media and digital PR for small business event held last month, Digital Citizens will give the “experts” some real life business challenges and invite them to provide workable and effective social media solutions. Each challenge will have clear objectives and they’ll be scored on how well their ideas meet these needs.
Powerpoint, ad-lib, interpretative dance; the format is up to the presenter!
The judges will include business owners like you, industry experts and the Digital Citizens audience. You can also play along at home by watching the livestream and voting on Twitter.
Our Social media experts will include Paul Alex Gray from Product Management consultancy brainmates, Katy Daniells from Social Media Agency DaemonTWO, Mike Watkins from Social Marketing Agency Mudomedia and Cate Mathers, from OMD Word Australia.
Digital Citizens organiser Cathie McGinn said there are still many misconceptions about social media in the business world.
“We’re asking social media experts to prove to the industry in general and the world at large that there is a real, quantifiable value to social media – and by demonstrating their thinking, processes and practice to solve genuine commercial challenges, we’re providing an opportunity to set the record straight. It’s a pitch, not a popularity contest”. she said.
This event will be hosted at the new home of Digital Citizens, TAO at Mr B’s (396 Pitt St, Sydney NSW 2000) on Tuesday October 5th, 2010, finger food will be served from 6:30 until 7:00, generously sponsored by regular networking partners Nexus IT and Communications. As usual the panel will be sponsored by Centric Consulting.
Three ticket types are available for purchase: $10 for a single, $18 for a pair and $30 for a group of four people with 50 percent of ticket sales donated to charity. Tickets can be purchased at Sticky Tickets here.
