Software to allow jobseekers apply via SMS

New job-seeking software is revolutionising the recruitment industry, with recruiters and businesses able to initialise job applications via SMS.

MyRecruitOnline co-designer Dominic Saporito, said the software also allows the use of recruiter avatars and video conferencing.

“This is also one of the first recruitment systems in the world to offer an iPhone application. So where ever your recruiter is they can instantly see the status of all placements, process applications and communicate with candidates,” he added.

Saporito said in future, businesses will start using QR quotes on job advertisements so individuals can apply directly via SMS.

“You can then send an SMS to the recruiter or company to register your interest in the position and you will receive an SMS back with specific information about the application process.”

The technology can also be used to conduct video conferencing with applicants.

“To streamline the process, it is highly likely that your first interview with the recruiter will occur over video conference and be recorded.”

Multiple recruiters can use the system to look at various applicants profiles, meaning more possibility of scoring a job. The new software can also set up a virtual avatar for a recruiter to automate key tasks, transforming the HR Process.

“Recruiters will be able to create virtual versions of themselves in the system to make decisions and act automatically on their behalf, eliminating much administration time.”
