Queensland’s Small Business Digital Grants Program: round 1 ends this this Friday (9 Dec)

Small businesses across Queensland have until Friday, 9 December, to apply for a government grant to put towards the purchase of digital technologies and services that will help them to be more competitive and employ more staff.

Matched funding of up to $10,000 (excluding GST) is available under the Small Business Digital Grants Program, which was established by the state government to enable eligible businesses to “work smarter, engage with the global economy and make the most of online business opportunities arising from digital disruption.”

Matthew Pezzimenti, Director of conversion optimisation agency, Conversion Kings, said the grants program is an opportunity for small businesses to “direct budget towards programs that have demonstrated success rates and minimise the ‘guesstimating’ that is often present in marketing and advertising strategies”

He added, “By identifying what motivates a customer to make an online purchase, or pin-point the reason that they abandon their shopping cart, business owners can make smart, data-informed decisions about their platform to increase sales, without having to spend more on advertising and marketing.”

Although round 1 ends this week, further rounds have been announced for March and June 2017.

Further information, including eligibility criteria and application guidelines, is available from the Queensland Government’s website.
