In our last issue of Dynamic Business, the article ‘Absent, With Leave’ noted that under the new WorkChoices legislation, the method for calculating payment for accrued sick, carer’s and compassionate leave differed to the method used for calculating regular accrued annual leave.

Since that issue went to print, the Workplace Relations Act has been amended, removing the different calculation method, aligning the requirements for personal leave payments with those used for annual leave.
