The Federal Government has launched a new website in an effort to stay abreast of issues facing small business.
Businesses and industry associations are being urged to register at www.consultation.business.gov.au so they can be contacted early on about proposed regulations, says Fran Bailey, Minister for Small Business and Tourism.
By highlighting if there’s a problem with regulation, or suggesting alternative ways to approach an issue, the government hopes an increase in communication with small businesses will be able to reduce the amount of red tape, Bailey explains.
The new site forms part of the government’s E-business strategy, which also includes the $29 million VANguard program, designed to facilitate easier online solutions between business and government.
