Today we laid out the content into a new
data organisation layout. Basically it works like this.
We have a website which has multiple Sections (Articles, News,
Blogs, Events, How to guides, Polls) each section contains multiple
Categories (ie Article Section, contains Marketing, Law and
Taxation, Entrepreneur Profiles, Start Ups, ECommerce etc)
This breakdown allows us to organise large amounts of content.
1000s of Articles can be uploaded and “tagged” into a category and
section.
Our Menu items simply select the category and this displaya all the
articles.
On top of the basic Joomla installation we have installed a
Magazine Module called ijoomla. This allows you to create Magazines
and set the current issue to appear as the front page of the whole
website. Each Magazine can have unlimited amount of Issues and to
create an issue you simply browse through your articles and select
them as being a part of an issue.
Magazines and Issues are really just a “View”of all your articles
organised by the issue in which it was published.
