News Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch announced on Tuesday, a new unit that will allow for the sharing of content and resources across his media empire.
This will include his various newspaper, magazine, online and television holdings across the US, UK and Australia.
In a statement, John Moody, executive vice president at the FOX News television channel, said the unit will allow for “ (News Corp.) worldwide editorial properties to share content and resources across the entire company.”
Without giving any further details about the move, Moody said he was “”honoured to embark on this new venture at a critical time in our industry when change so often begets opportunity,” and believes that News Corp has “embraced innovation like no other company in today’s media landscape.”
