Looking to change track for a year and devote more time to charitable undertakings? Apply for the Vodafone Foundation World of Difference program to win a full-time and fully paid charity position.
The Vodafone Foundation is offering five placements for Australians willing to dedicate 2012 to a charity of their choosing. The winners will receive a year’s salary of up to $60,000, expenses of up to $15,000 as well as training, mentoring and support.
According to foundation chair Tanya Bowes, the competition seeks to allow the winners to dedicate themselves to making an impact by giving them the peace of mind of being able to pay their bills.
“It’s something that they might not have considered doing otherwise sadly because of the financial realities of working within the not for profit sector,” she said.
Since beginning in 2004, the World of Difference program has supported 39 Australians to devote their time to various charities including the RSPCA, OzHarvest, Oxfam, St Johns Ambulance and the Australian Men’s Shed Association.
Applications for the 2012 program are now open and close at 4pm on Friday February 17.
