The readers have spoken and the crowdsourced cover of November’s magazine has been chosen. You can read all about it, and its designer, in the November issue, but here’s a sneak peek!
Inspired by an interview with 99designs’ co-founder Mark Harbottle, the Dynamic Business team decided to try crowdsourcing for themselves. Almost 300 designs were entered via the site over a one-week period. The team chose their top three then put it to a public poll, encouraging readers to vote for their favourite. Voting closed at midnight last night and it was a close call between the top two.
Editor and publisher Jen Bishop said: “This has been a really interesting experience and I’m looking forward to sharing it, warts and all, in the next issue. The majority of our readers loved the idea and appreciated being able to get involved. Crowdsourcing definitely has its objectors though and the positive and negative opinions have given us real food for thought and many debates around the office!
“I’m really happy with the winning design though. I think it answers the brief well and is an excellent illustration by a talented designer.”
The winning designer will receive $1,000 and profiling in the magazine.
