A group buying site designed to ease the ongoing financial costs associated with raising and entertaining children has launched, with Kid U Not’s Founders promising also to give back to the community through its various charity partners.
Founded by a pair of community-minded sisters, Kid U Not will partner with a wide range of businesses around Australia to offer online shoppers significant discounts on a range of child-focused products, services and experiences including activities, health, educational products, toys, clothing, entertainment, play equipment and travel.
The Founders have pledged their venture will see them give back to local communities, via charity partners that include the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, Smile Foundation, Samuel Morris Foundation, Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Brisbane and the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation Perth.
Under the motto ‘Group Deals. Group Giving’, Kid U Not will donate 5 percent of the revenue from each online purchase to a children’s charity of the purchaser’s choice, letting members decide where their dollars are donated.
Kid U Not’s deals will last around 48 hours and will offer members anything from 50 to 90 percent off the recommended retail price, and will cater to children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers.
“Through the Kid U Not Group Giving Program initiative, we have combined collective buying power with charitable spending. Kid U Not is proud to be able to give back to local communities and we feel strongly this is something our members will identify with and feel good about,” Founder Caroline Selka said.
