BlackBerry Curve 9360 arrives

BlackBerry’s new smartphone, the Curve 9360, is now available locally. The device is powered by the faster performing BlackBerry 7 OS and features a suite of updated email, messaging a web-browsing capabilities, making it ideal for business users.

Powered by the BlackBerry 7 OS, the Curve 9360 features a range of hardware enhancements, including an upgraded processor and display, more memory and built-in support for NFC (Near Field Communications).

It also delivers a next-generation browser, which allows for a more fluid web browsing experience, smoother navigation and optimised HTML5 performance.

According to Research In Motion managing director Adele Beachley, the Curve smartphones have proven popular with local business users in the past.

“…we think users will be very pleased with the significant performance enhancements in this model as well as the many benefits of the new BlackBerry 7 operating system. This smartphone is a great choice for both business users and socially-conected consumers who want a highly refined mobile experience for email, messaging, social apps and web browsing.”

The Curve 9360 has been ergonomically designed with a comfortable keyboard for fast, accurate typing and an optical trackpad for one-handed navigation.

GPS and Wi-Fi support are also included, as well as a 5MP camera with flash and video recording.
