Employees or students between the ages of 18 to 25 in the agricultural, fisheries, forestry, food or natural resource industries have the chance to secure up to $50,000 in the 2008 Australian Agricultural Industries Young Innovators and Scientists Awards.
Award winners will receive up to $20,000 funding to research an emerging scientific issue or innovative activity over 12 months. Funding may be used for a research project, industry visit, further study or conference attendance.
One winner will also receive the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Award, worth $30,000.
