MYOB has officially launched its $75 million next generation accounting solutions, as part of a new vision for the company’s business management systems.
The launch includes the re-launch of MYOB AccountRight Standard and AccountRight Plus on a new platform as well as new AccountEdge software for Mac users which includes free apps for the iPad and iPhone.
MYOB CEO Tim Reed said the releases mark the first stage of MYOB’s Business Platform which aims to make cloud solutions more accessible, relevant and profitable for Australian businesses.
“The MYOB solutions, including AccountRight Standard, AccountRight Plus, and AccountEdge, are part of our focus on combining the speed and function-rich capability of a desktop application with the connectivity and mobility of the internet.”
After redeveloping these new programs on the .NET SQL codebase, MYOB will be able to make rapid changes as they are needed by consumers.
“Many of the latest enhancements in the products we are introducing today come directly from working with our network of accountants, business customers and third-party developers.”
Highlights of the new releases include an easy to use command centre, faster search capabilities and simplified end of financial year programs.
AccountRight Standard is designed to quickly manage inventory, sales and purchases as well as simplifying GST calculations whilst AccountRight Plus features full payroll management and time billing capability.
Reed said MYOB is now working for Mac users with AccountEdge designed to work in highly mobile and flexible working environments, focusing on accuracy and presentation in payroll management and invoicing.
“The AccountEdge app is a good example of the way MYOB has approached the next generation of cloud computing, bringing the internet to the device and allowing customers to choose the way they want to operate.”
MYOB will continue to roll out their Business Platform and cloud connectivity solutions over the next 12 months, offering more flexibility and mobility for businesses.
