HTC 7 Mozart plans will start at $49/month through Telstra, putting HTC’s Windows Phone 7 launch mobile head to head with the Android powered HTC Desire.

LG Optimus 7 plans will start at $79/month on Optus Mobile for both business and consumer 24 month contracts, with the LG Optimus 7 available on the telco from late October in Australia.

HTC 7 Trophy will be coming to Vodafone in Australia on October 21st, however Vodafone is yet to finalist HTC 7 Trophy plans and pricing as it waits for competitors Optus and Telstra to reveal their Windows Phone 7 plans first.

Skype dropped support for the aging Windows Mobile platform earlier this year, however yesterday Skype’s Asia Pacific Vice President Dan Neary confirmed there would be no Skype support for Windows Phone 7, at least initially, but an iPad client is in the works.
