A festival being held in Melbourne this weekend will celebrate the virtues of ethical choices and sustainable living.
Fair@Square 2013 is the fifth annual event, and will be taking over Federation Square for Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December.
A venture of Victorian-based social enterprise Moral Fairground, and supported by the City of Melbourne and Australian Ethical – the event affords fair-trade businesses the platform to showcase their products to the public.
The festival event will also encompass activities, forums and workshops to engage and educate participants in sustainable living, and the ethics of consumerism.
“There are an ever increasing number of inspirational organisations and businesses in Australia that promote an ethically responsible way or life and conscious leadership. Fair@Square presents a wonderful opportunity to showcase these initiatives – providing the opportunity for us to share and discover the far-reaching benefits they bring,” author and business leader Carolyn Tate said.
The event is free to attend.
