Meet Lyn Nguyen: The ops guru turning e-commerce chaos into profits

As a female founder with a youthful appearance, it was intimidating to step into rooms filled with seasoned professionals and pitch my ideas

If you’ve ever wondered what makes e-commerce tick behind the scenes, meet Lyn Nguyen. She’s the ops guru turning chaos into smooth, money-making machines.

Lyn’s journey to founding Auvie Consultants began with her love for e-commerce and a natural ability to build efficient systems.

While working as General Manager for MiHIGH, a company that specializes in infrared sauna blankets, Lyn discovered her passion for scaling businesses through smart operations and logistics. It wasn’t just about one brand—she wanted to help many thrive. This led her to create Auvie Consultants, which launched in early 2023.

Auvie Consultants stands apart from typical e-commerce agencies. Rather than focusing on marketing—something many agencies specialize in—Auvie zeroes in on the core operations of a business. The company helps seven and eight-figure e-commerce brands grow by optimizing their systems and logistics. Lyn’s hands-on, boutique approach ensures she works closely with each client, creating customized solutions that seamlessly integrate with their existing structure

Strategic growth – investing in the right people and tools

Being an entrepreneur can often feel isolating, and Lyn quickly realized how important it was to surround herself with supportive, driven people—individuals who push her to be her best.

Having a circle of uplifting friends, many of whom are also entrepreneurs, has been key to helping Lyn navigate the challenges of running a business. Their shared experiences and encouragement have kept her motivated through tough times.

Another turning point for Lyn was hiring a business coach, who helped her shift her perspective on how to manage her business. The coach emphasized the importance of working on the business, not just in it. “Rather than getting caught up in the daily operations, which I love, my coach helped me understand how crucial it is to focus on long-term growth,” she said.

For Lyn, investing in herself—through continuous learning about e-commerce and focusing on her health—has been just as vital. These efforts have been essential not only for her personal well-being but also for her ability to lead her business effectively.

What sets Auvie Consultants apart

Unlike other e-commerce agencies which focus on marketing, Auvie Consultants addresses the less explored but equally important realm of operations and logistics.

“We don’t just focus on solving today’s challenges, but also future-proofing businesses through innovative systems, automation and strategies,” she said.

With a holistic approach, Lyn and her team work closely with clients to ensure operational systems seamlessly align with other aspects of their business. Every solution is tailored to the unique needs of a brand. This commitment to bespoke service and deep integration has earned Auvie Consultants a reputation as the go-to partner for scaling an e-commerce brand.

Overcoming challenges as a young female founder

One of the biggest challenges Lyn faced at the start of her business journey was the fear of not being taken seriously.

“As a female founder with a youthful appearance, it was intimidating to step into rooms filled with seasoned professionals and pitch my ideas,” she shared.

To overcome this, Lyn’s business coach helped her recognize the true value of her expertise. With this newfound perspective, Lyn’s confidence grew. She focused on preparation—understanding her clients’ pain points in detail and presenting well-researched solutions. This approach not only boosted her own self-assurance but also helped her build trust with her clients.

In the early days of Auvie Consultants, Lyn tried to appeal to a broader audience by offering a range of services, including marketing. But as she gained more experience, she realized her core strengths lay in operations and logistics. This realization led her to refocus and carve out a niche in these areas, ultimately helping to shape Auvie Consultants’ reputation as a trusted expert in e-commerce operations.

Lessons learnt along the way

Trying to be everything to everyone dilutes your impact,

Staying focused is something Lyn sees as essential for entrepreneurs. “Trying to be everything to everyone dilutes your impact,” she said. Early on, she realized that to make a real difference, she needed to focus on what she did best, rather than trying to offer everything to everyone.

By specializing in operations and logistics, Lyn was able to find her unique place in the industry. While many agencies focus on marketing or sales, Auvie Consultants concentrated on optimizing the parts of e-commerce that often go unnoticed—operations. This focus helped Lyn and her team establish themselves as experts in an area that is crucial for businesses, but often overlooked.

The results have been impressive. Lyn and her team helped one client reach their first million-dollar month, which marked a huge shift for the business. Another success came when they helped a client save over USD $50,000 in inventory costs by negotiating better supplier rates during a busy sales period.

For Lyn, the key to a successful business is also about self-investment. She believes in continuously growing—not just professionally, but personally as well. Whether it’s staying updated in her field, prioritizing her health, or building a strong network of people who support her, Lyn sees these investments as essential to maintaining a sustainable and effective business

Advice to aspiring business owners

Lyn’s advice for anyone starting a business is simple: believe in yourself and the unique value you bring to the table. She stresses the importance of surrounding yourself with people who uplift and support you, especially those who share your vision and can help you stay focused on your goals.

“Success isn’t just about working hard, it’s about working smarter,” she said. “It’s about investing in the right tools, coaching, and systems that allow you to scale sustainably.”

But perhaps most important is lifelong learning. Lyn believes that industries are constantly evolving, and to stay ahead, you need to be open to change. “The ability to adapt will keep you ahead of the curve,” she said. For Lyn, a commitment to continuous learning is key to navigating the ever-changing business landscape.
