Telstra has named its 16 finalists for the 2009 New South Wales Telstra Business Awards, with shortlisted businesses coming from a diversity of sectors, with both domestic and global success.
Finalists include a honey producer, an audio director, and a campervan manufacturer, and many have achieved international recognition with projects in Australia and overseas.
“Rather than letting the economy bring them down, the success of these businesses is a tangible demonstration of why Australia is doing so much better than many other countries,” said Deena Shiff, Telstra Business Group managing director and Business Awards ambassador.
And global success isn’t just limited to Sydney: Corowa-based Beechworth Honey exports to Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the USA, while Blue Mountains business Guardsman Systems services the Asia-Pacific region.
NSW winners will be announced on July 21, with category winners proceeding to the national awards to be announced in Sydney on August 20.
