Recruitment woes are now a thing of the past for business owners, with MYOB launching StaffSearcher.com.au, an online recruitment network connecting business owners with potential candidates.
The online resource delivers a cost effective, targeted and efficient service that delivers candidates to employers at a fair price, according to Tim Reed, MYOB CEO.
“This tool gives business owners access to this passive job seeker market and provides a new way of discovering suitable staff.”
StaffSearcher works by connecting business owners with people looking for new career opportunities, leveraging social networking to make connections via ‘referrers.’ Business owners pay a small fee to post a role onto the StaffSearcher job board. Referrers create a database of their contacts and job skills and the StaffSearcher system will then send referrers an automatic email when a role matches the experience and skills of someone in their network. The referrer can then contact the potential candidate to determine their interest in the role, and recommend the candidate to the hirer.
Reed believes that, despite the economic downturn, staffing still remains a challenging issue for small to medium business owners.
“Business owners are struggling to generate a sufficient supply of quality candidates through their existing recruitment channels and we identified the need to offer an effective solution at a rate that’s affordable by small business owners.”
