The CEO Institute’s latest survey of 226 chief executives has found that 75 percent of the nation’s CEOs feel that the Rudd Government is not doing enough to support businesses.
The Institute’s chairman, Ken Gunn believes that many CEOs are critical of the Rudd Government’s $42 billion stimulus package, and want to see fewer cash handouts, with an increased focus on expenditure on infrastructure.
“Members just cannot understand why more is not being done to reduce employment costs and support keeping people employed.”
In response to the increasing frustration felt by small business, the Coalition has today announced a six point plan to help small business which includes support for family businesses, a Superannuation Guarantee relief and increased cabinet representation for small business.
