The global economy is showing signs of a recovery according to the G10.
European Central Bank head Jean-Claude Trichet said that we are at a turning point, “we are, as far as growth is concerned, around the inflection point in the cycle.”
‘In all cases we see a slowing down of the decrease of the GDP that has been observed in the last quarter of last year and the first quarter of this year,’ he added after the G10 meeting.
Tricket said that the global economy was approaching a pick-up point, but has still warned the world to remain vigilant and not to become complacent.
‘We have to remain alert, we are in uncharted waters, even if we are at the inflection point and even beyond in certain economies,’ he said.
