St.George Bank plans to release an iPad app for customers to access St.George Internet Banking from Apple’s iPad tablet within the next week.

StGeorge iPad AppSt.George Bank’s iPad App will give users full access to St.George Internet Banking, as well as a branch and ATM locator, product and service information, interest rates and product selector tools, plus access to St.George video content through the Bank’s YouTube channel.

St.George Head of eDistribution, Travis Tyler, said the App had been designed to make the most of the iPad’s unique, easy-to-use design.

“We’ve designed our iPad App in a way that gives our customers access to our most popular online tools and services, in a simple to use, visually appealing format,” Mr Tyler said.

“With the App, customers have access to all of St.George Internet Banking’s key features, such as paying bills and arranging regular transfers. The App also features a St.George Branch and ATM locator, that uses the iPad’s in-built GPS to help our customers locate their closest St.George branch or ATM.”

Mr Tyler said the App itself has been built around a new user interface specially designed for the iPad tablet and includes a search function with access to all of the information available on the St.George website.

“Our customers continue to embrace new technology to make their banking easier. Already, more than 110,000 St.George customers use St.George Mobile Banking on their iPhone or smartphone device and those numbers continue to increase.

“We expect the St.George Bank iPad App to become a popular new way for our customers to do their banking,” Mr Tyler concluded.

The St.George Bank iPad App will be available to download from Apple’s iTunes store within the next week.
