With apps, music, videos and more piling up on iOS devices, running out of room is becoming more of a common dilemma everyday. PhoneExpander, a new app currently in its beta phase, is aiming to tackle the issue.
By targeting temporary files and highlighting what content is taking up the most room, PhoneExpander claims to make it easier to clear up a decent amount of room in about ten minutes.
The app runs on a user’s Mac, with a variety of different cleaning tools “simple enough for your parents to use.”
Options include Clear Temporary Files, which will clear temporary caches from some or all of the device’s apps; Remove Apps, which clearly lists all the device’s apps in order of size, making it easier to see what apps are taking up the most unnecessary room; and Clear Photos, which allows users to save images and videos to their computer or cloud-based storage system before using the option to delete them. A Clear Music function is said to also be on its way.
The app’s official site amusingly claims that PhoneExpander, a collaboration between Nice Mohawk Limited and Magnetism Studios, “will cost between $10 and $10,000,000 to purchase when it is complete.”
