National Australia Bank has hired Susan Ferrier as chief people officer as the lender continues its leadership overhaul.
Ms Ferrer will join on October 1 and replaces Lorraine Murphy, who announced her departure in March.
Ms Ferrer joins from KPMG after working with boards and executives at financial service providers including HSBC, Deutsche Bank, ING Barings and Barclays.
“She is a deeply experienced human resources executive who has led large transformation and culture change programs, increasing leadership capability and engagement,” NAB chairman elect Philip Chronican said.
Ms Ferrer will eventually work alongside Ross McEwan when he joins as chief executive, with Mr Chronican shifting from the interim CEO role to chairman in November.
