Digital is the way forward for business, says digital strategy expert Chris Braine.
Braine, general manager for Perth digital agency, Sumo, says more small businesses should invest in a digital strategy, as it will enable them to establish a deeper connection with their customers.
Braine says it doesn’t have to cost small businesses the earth to invest in a digital strategy.
“You don’t need to have the world’s biggest budget, but you do need to invest in digital to reap the benefits just like you would with offline communications,” he said.
“It’s important to understand its value and make allowances for it in your budget.”
According to Braine, digital strategy goes way beyond a website.
“Integrated strategies are most likely to reap the benefits. Cross-channel campaigns work effectively when done well using a number of mediums in a strategic way. A good digital strategist will use digital to enhance other media,” he said.
