A typical day at the office

A lot of people imagine being a magazine editor is all glamour and freebies. Maybe if you work for Vogue or Madison, but not so much on Dynamic Business, sadly! Today, however, has been different. Because today, dear reader, I came back to the office to find a bottle of wine on my desk. This came from the kind people at a PR company who read my ‘tweet’ on Twitter bemoaning how I’d been sent jam (which I HATE) by a PR company and asking why nobody ever thought to send me wine. Thanks guys (you know who you are)! I appreciate good PR by a PR company!

So, that was nice, but THEN came an email from the PR for a major airline asking if I’d like to go on a day trip to Auckland next week, business class, with a trip to a winery thrown in. Lovely!

THEN a beautiful bunch of flowers arrived from the illustration company I’m working with on the new look magazine covers (March issue is in news agencies on Monday and it looks fabulous if I don’t say so myself). Again, a great example of PR by an SME. Love it!

But the best thing about today was receiving our advance copies of the March issue of the magazine, which not only looks great but is full of interesting, useful articles. Cue much discussion and excitement around Dynamic Business HQ.

If only every day was quite this good!

What do you think?
