Victoria’s sustainable business innovators have two weeks until entries close for the Premier’s Sustainability Awards 2014.
CEO of Sustainability Victoria, Stan Krpan, encouraged all Victorians who have demonstrated environmental leadership to enter this year’s awards.
“The Premier’s Sustainability Awards showcase organisations, institutions, businesses, community groups and individuals who demonstrate practical efforts to reduce their everyday environmental impact,” Krpan said.
This year the awards provide an extended list of categories: Cleaner Yarra and Bay (a new category), Community, Education, Environmental Protection, Infrastructure and Buildings, Innovative Products or Services, Large Business, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Tourism.
In addition to these awards, the Premier will select two overall winners: the Premier’s Recognition Award and the Premier’s Regional Recognition Award.
“A cleaner and more sustainable Victoria depends on all of us – government, business, and individuals – being aware of how our actions impact our environment and each of us playing our part,” he said.
Entries close on Monday 2 June and finalists will be announced in early September.
