Already an Aussie favourite, Billabong is now the number-one sports and surfwear brand in Peru.
But that’s not where the brand’s success stops; Billabong is also being snatched up across Latin America, including Argentina Brazil, Chile and Venezuela.
"Australians are well known all over the world for their great surfing prowess," Max de la Rosa, general manager of Billabong in Peru and Chile, tells Austrade. "This uniquely Australian brand has come to symbolize the youthfulness and daring which Australian surfing represents to people here in Latin America."
Billabong has been available in Peru since 1989, but its current success is only recent.
