Digital Ready is part of the Australian Government’s Digital Business Kits Program. The aim of this program is to help organisations build skills and knowledge to engage in the digital economy and take advantage of opportunities offered with information and communications technology.
The online training tools offered to users completely free of charge, focus on the Arts, Recreation and Education Services sectors but can be used by any small business or not-for-profit organisation. The toolkit contains instructional materials and ‘how-to’ guides on the use of digital and on-line systems to improve business and operations. It also contains video case studies and video tutorials. Topics covered in the course include:
- Getting Connected to Fast Broadband
- Your Online Strategy and Tools to Achieve it
- Social Media
- Using the Cloud
- Online Registration and eCommerce
- Telework
Digital Ready’s training site has reached over 7,000 users since launch and currently over 900 users visit the site per month. They provide their user audience a platform where they can access a wide range of information and tools such as informative and relevant case studies, tutorial videos, course material aimed at helping small business owners maximize their business, top tips and advice from fellow small business owners, as well as resources such as eBooks and blogs all of which can be directly implemented into everyday business scenarios.
