The state government has launched the sun safety at work campaign which aims to educate construction and utilities industry workers about ways to reduce the risks of heat and sun exposure.
New South Wales Police and Finance Minister Michael Daley says Australia has the world’s highest rate of skin cancer and outdoor workers need to understand the importance of occupational health and safety responsibilities.
He says businesses can book sun safety workshops at their workplaces by contacting WorkCover.
