Telstra brings the web to TV
Telstr has announced they are bringing the web to commercial television, with the launch of a new digital set-top box that makes it easier to watch internet video on your TV.
The T-Box™ set top box allow people the ability to view and record free to air television programs, pause and download Telstra’s online sports content and movies to view on the TV instead of the computer.
Telstra Group managing director of product management, Ms Holly Kramer, said the new set top box will “enhance the free-to-air digital TV experience.”
Telstra would not reveal the price, but will be trialling the device over the coming months in a number of Melbourne homes with the view to making it available to Telstra’s 2.3 million broadband customers by next year.
