Spreading the love between PR and journalism

Tonight is the second #prjournolove in Sydney; an event I spearheaded on Twitter to get PR people and journalists together for a friendly and informal drink. The idea is to discuss work and accept we’re all normal people and communications professionals who don’t have to hate each other. There’s also a distinct possibility that we’ll talk about non-work activities, maybe even get a bit tipsy and make the odd new friend.

We have more than 100 RSVPs, largely due to joining forces with #PRinks, an existing PR-only meet-up. What could be more in the spirit of PRJournoLove (which I like to call a movement in better PR and journalism relations!) than joining forces with the PR people?

You can follow the movement on Twitter with the #prjournolove hashtag. Get in touch if you’d like further information.

What do you think?
