Skype has today announced a new version of Skype for SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) for business users.
The new corporate communications will allow business owners to access the worldwide Skype community through their business websites. The calls will be received through their existing office system at no cost to the customer.
Businesses will also benefit from Skype’s low-cost global calling rates, and will be able to purchase online Skype numbers available in over 20 countries to receive calls from business contacts and customers who are using traditional fixed lines or mobile phones.
According to Stefan Oberg, VP and general manager of Skype for Business, the new system is a great way for businesses to stay connected, whilst saving money and improving productivity.
“It (Skype for SIP) combines the obvious cost savings and reach of Skype with its large user base… providing great economical savings and increased productivity for the modern business.”
