Vodafone opens the door for small business

Vodafone Australia, in collaboration with Cisco and Research in Motion (RIM) have announced their full portfolio of Vodafone Business One communication solutions is now available to small business.

First announced in June 2008, the Vodafone Business One portfolio has been extended to include new services including a ‘Voice Package’, delivering an integration and convergence between mobile and fixed, voice and data, services and equipment for small business, allowing them to manage their communications more effectively.

The service works in a way that both mobile and fixed lines are integrated so that when an employee’s fixed number is called, both the mobile and desk phone ring and the call can be answered from either.

Hugh Humphrey, general manager business markets at Vodafone Australia said the company is bringing “genuine innovation and value to the market at a time when it is needed most.”

Vodafone Business One customers will receive the latest in cutting-edge networking and unified communications technology, stepping away from the tradition fixed line access fees, along with the ability to make and receive WiFi phone calls while leveraging the technologies of the Blackberry Mobile Voice System.

Cisco Australia and New Zealand vice president, Les Williamson said that small businesses can utilise these technologies to “improve collaboration, reduce cost and grow productivity.”

In addition to services offered in 2008, Vodafone Business One offers customers a number of new services including online voicemail, inbound voice services, business broadband, domain name hosting and remote office bundle.
